Application Requirements for the ACE Global Scholarship Program (AGSP)

1. Number of Grantees : 2 students
2. Duration and Financial Aid
- Duration: AGSP begins in March 2012 with the Korean language program and continues until the end of the undergraduate program in February 2017
- Financial Aid:
* The entire tuition fee for the 6 month Korean language program as well as the following 1~4 years of undergraduate work will be fully covered by financial aid.
* Room & Food Waiver
Room (dormitory room/ double occupancy) & Food (three meals per day/mostly Korean Cuisine) are free for the duration of AGSP.
(Plane tickets and Personal Expenses will be the responsibility of the scholarship holders)
3. Eligible Candidates for Admission
- High school graduates or graduates-to-be with superior grades (GPA 3.5/4.5)
- Students interested in Korean Culture and are able to finish degree program successfully
- Students fluent in foreign languages
(Fluency in English is essential, and other foreign languages are desirable)
4. Documents required for Application (Only in English)
- The application form
- Resume
- Study plan
- Diploma from previously attended Educational Institution
- Transcripts from previously attended Educational Institution
- (Optional) Copies of Awards from authorized organizations
- (Optional) Standardized English test scores (i.e. IBT TOEFL 100, IELTS 6.0 or TOEIC 850)
[SMU gives preference to applicants with excellent proficiency of either English or Korean.]
- Two reference letters
- A copy of your passport
* You must additionally submit all official original documents in English.

5. Application Deadline: November 30, 2011
*Applicants must send copies of the required documents via e-mail to Ms. Yujin Shim at: (syj81@semyung.ac.kr).  Applicants must also mail the original hard copies of all required documents by postal mail.
*Following your application, all documents will be reviewed and successful candidates will be invited for an interview. (Telephone and We-cam Interviews will also be acceptable.)
*Shortly after the interview process, successful candidates will be invited to join the Semyung University family.

6. Announcement of successful candidates
* December 31, 2011 (by e-mail)
* ‘Certificate of Admission’ will be sent to their home addresses.

7. Recommended arrival date: February 20, 2012
(Classes Begin:  March 2, 2012)

8. Further details regarding this program will be announced upon the completion of candidate selection.  (The successful candidate list will be announced on December 30, 2011)

O Ministério de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia da República da Coreia oferece duas bolsas de estudo para cidadãos brasileiros no período acadêmico de 2012 a 2017.Para de candidatar à vaga o (a) candidato (a) deve:

• Ser cidadão brasileiro, filho(a) de pais brasileiros
• Ter menos de 25 anos de idade (ter nascido após 1º de março de 1987)
• Gozar de boa saúde, tanto física quanto mental
• Ter, até 01 de março de 2012: um diploma do Ensino Médio, a fim de ser candidatar ao programa de graduação
• Obter uma média de pelo menos 80%(ou equivalente) durante todo o período do Ensino Médio
• Possuir excelente domínio da língua inglesa (é recomendada, embora não obrigatória, a apresentação de diploma de conclusão de curso ou prova TOEFL ou IELTS)
• Não ter recebido previamente uma bolsa de estudo do governo da Coreia

Os candidatos selecionados deverão estar na Coreia do Sul para o começo dos estudos até a data limite de 20 de fereveiro de 2012. A bolsa é relativa a um período de quatro anos, não aplicável a alguns cursos como: medicina, odontologia e arquiterura, cujo período de conclusão excede os quatro anos.

본 수업은 초급반 클래스이며, 3개월의 커리큐럼으로 한국인 강사와 브라질인 강사가 함께 진행합니다.

Pessoal, a Escola Alegria está à procura de interessados lançar uma comunidade de dança brasileira! O objetivo das aulas é ensinar aos alunos interessados na cultura e dança brasileira (principalmente estilos Samba e Samba Bahia).

Os instrutores participarão de performances do grupo de Batucada da Escola Alegria, assim como participar das festas organizadas pela Escola Alegria.

Como os brasileiros são conhecidos por saberem dançar bem, existem muitas pessoas interessadas em aprender a dançar como os brasileiros fazem!

The instructors will participate of performances of the BATUCADA Group of Escola Alegria, as well as participate of the parties organized by Escola Alegria.

As Brazilian people are well known for dancing, there are many people interested in learning how brazilians do!
